“I have a home, a safe place to raise my daughter.
That never would have been possible without Space Coast Habitat.”

Meet Mariah Humphries, a Space Coast Habitat homebuyer and single mother to her daughter, Ava. After losing her mother at 14, Mariah faced many challenges, including homelessness, before finding the support of a local program.

Today, Mariah works as a restaurant manager and is studying to become a paralegal at Eastern Florida State College. Through Habitat’s Homeownership Program, she built the safe, stable future she has always dreamed of for herself and Ava.

Mariah and Ava moved into their forever home in June of 2026.
